PNM Resources
PNM announced they are suspending nonpayment disconnects. They have launched a preparedness webpage for customers. The website includes info on payment extensions and link to an ongoing grant program, the Good Neighbor Fund, to assist customers experiencing financial instability.
El Paso Electric

LCU Suspends Shutoffs
LCU assures customers that there will be no shutoffs of any utilities until the restrictions to contain COVID-19 are lifted and normal business resumes. Customers financially impacted during this time can contact Customer Central at 575-541-2111 to discuss payment assistance or arrangements.

In general, telecomms industry is working to maintain continuity of service and increasing capacity to meet the expected surege in demand due to telework requirements. Most companies, including all below, have committed to the FCC’s “Keep Americans Connected Pledge”: for next 60 days, no terminations of service and no late fees for individuals and small businesses if impacted by COVID-19; open wi-fi hot spots to anyone who needs them.
Verizon
Verizon is waiving late fees for 60 days for small business and individuals due to COVID-19.
Comcast
Comcast is offering free Xfinity WiFi hotspots, including non-xfinity internet subscribers. 60 days of unlimited data at no charge. No disconnections or late fees only if a customer contacts comcast. New customers to receive 60 days free.
ATT
ATT is providing 60 days of no terminations and no late fees. Free wi-fi hopspots for anyone. Unlimited home internet data. 90 days of Webex service for business, university and schools.
CenturyLink
CenturyLink is waiving late fees and will not terminiate customer service for 60 days. Suspending data usage limits.
